Apply for our yoga teacher training program

requirements for admission

Each applicant will be evaluated on an individual basis.
Knowledge of the asanas and average physical stamina is required.
One year of asana practice unless otherwise discussed.
It is not required that you become a certified teacher to participate in this program.
You must participate in a weekly asana class with Moira Anderson at River Rock Yoga and Pilates in Ocean Springs. There are no exceptions unless you live outside the county. If so you may take a weekly class with a qualified instructor.

4 Steps to apply for the River Rock Yoga teacher training program

Complete the online form below (This will take about 10 minutes).
Pay your application fee of $300. (Click the payment button below to be re-directed to Wellness Living to pay online. You can also mail a check to the address below).
Two letters of recommendation. One yoga related and one personal letter is required. (Click on the links below for a template)
Upon acceptance to the program, you will receive a detailed email sent to your provided email address. The email contains important information about the program and about your first weekend. Please read carefully!

Payment Information

This program offers a payment program for those interested. Please include a non-refundable $300 application fee with your application. This application fee will be waived for tuition paid in full by August 6, 2023.

The total cost for the program after September 16th, 2023 is $3,200.

Tuition paid in 3 installments is $3,200. No penalty for early payment.
1st Installment of $1,066 is due by the launch date (September 16th, 2023).
2nd installment of $1,066 is due November 11th, 2023.
3rd installment of $1,068 is due December 23rd, 2023.

The reading material cost is not a part of the tuition. Plan the purchase of one(occasionally two) books per month. These are standard yoga texts that you may already own and will serve as reference guides for the training. You will need to bring your yoga mat and manual (which is provided) for each training.

This will be a fun and intensive two days! Adequate rest and methodical study throughout the month prove to be the best practices for internalizing the information.

Program Agreement

It is my understanding that I must fulfill all the requirements set forth by River Rock/Dragonfly yoga teacher training program. I must complete all required contact hours, homework, volunteer time, quizzes, and the practical and written final evaluations in order to receive my letter of completion on the program. The certificate of completion may then be submitted to Yoga Alliance for registration, or for any use to provide proof of completed training hours.

It is my understanding that River Rock Yoga and its teaching staff reserves the right to ask me to leave the program at any time if I behave in any inappropriate way, am unethical, or in violation of the ethical guidelines set forth by Yoga Alliance. In the event of any of these situations, I will not be refunded my tuition.

It is my understanding that my application fee is non-refundable, and should I cancel my participation, it must be 14 days prior to the start date, in order to receive a refund of my remaining balance. Once the program begins, tuition is non-refundable and also non-transferable, unless under special circumstances, and agreed to upon by all parties.

It is my understanding that all materials are under copyright protection and cannot be reproduced by me without permission from the author.

Reccomendation Letter Guidelines

Two letters of reference are required to complete your application. Please use the examples on the website to submit one yoga related letter of recommendation (from your teacher) and and one personal letter of recommendation.
