River Rock Yoga and Pilates has been serving the Mississippi Gulf Coast since 2006. Our founder and owner, Moira Anderson, was recently named a winner in the “100 Women to Know”! We are dedicated to offering yoga and pilates classes to EVERYBODY, as well as educational and fun events for the community.

Gulf Coast Woman Magazine
Moira Anderson, the owner of River Rock Yoga and Pilates, was named a winner of the “100 Successful Women to Know” by the Gulf Coast Woman Magazine.
“It is a happy surprise to be a part of this inspiring group of women on the Mississippi Gulf Coast”, said Moira.
She added that she “is honored to represent yoga, mental health, and Ocean Springs on the Gulf Coast”.
River Rock Yoga and Pilates has been in business since 2006.
River Rock Yoga and Pilates announces its expansion as a wellness destination. The Mississippi Center for Yoga and Health will include River Rock Yoga in an expanded studio and sanctuary space with a hot yoga studio, mental health, aerial yoga, Reiki, massage, and spa services along with healthy food restaurants.
Our studio was featured in the November 2022 issue. Owner, Moira Anderson, describes the offerings at the studio and explains her mission for providing a haven for healing, connection, and well-being.
Gulf Coast Woman
This article focuses on the owner, Moira Anderson, and the manager, Kim Jackson, and how they synchronize so beautifully and naturally to provide a transformative and healing space at River Rock Yoga and Pilates. Kim explains that Moira earned her respect and loyalty through “her dedication to helping people heal on the deepest level”.

Moira Anderson talks about the many classes offered at River Rock Yoga and Pilates and how the classes are designed for all ages and body types. She explains “People think you have to be super flexible and tie yourself in knots”, and adds “Anybody of any age can do yoga and take on practices to calm the mind”.
The Mississippi Press
River Rock Yoga and Pilates sponsored and facilitated an event known as “Yoga for Non-violence”. The event was held at Ocean Springs Community Center and all proceeds benefited the Gulf Coast Women’s Center for Non-violence. Each participant performed 108 sun salutations, representing 108 beads on a mala. A mala is a prayer bead used in Eastern traditions.
South Mississippi Living
Entitled “Yoga Does a Body, Mind and Spirit Good”, this article by Moira Anderson speaks to the healthful side effects of practicing yoga. She includes 10 reasons to try yoga and points out that research has proven it beneficial for many health problems such as back pain and depression.
