Our story
River Rock Yoga and Pilates in Ocean Springs, Mississippi is a professional studio devoted to offering a wide variety of yoga classes for students at every level of practice. With over 25 classes a week and 15 certified and registered instructors, River Rock Yoga and Pilates also offers Pilates and Piyo. We are committed to providing a tranquil and supportive environment for you to practice with the most well-trained, experienced, and professional teachers on the Gulf Coast.
River Rock Yoga and Pilates regularly hosts yoga workshops with regional, national, and international instructors to deepen understanding and expose students to a variety of teaching methods and beneficial approaches to the practice.
River Rock Yoga and Pilates’ yoga teacher training program (200 and 500 RYT through Yoga Alliance) attracts yoga students from all over the Southeast to participate in one of the most comprehensive, thorough, and enriching training programs in the region.
Our airy, spacious studio space features cork floors and is fully stocked with all necessary props & accessories for you to use at your convenience.

Our Founder
Moira Anderson, LCSW, E-RYT 500, Certified Pilates Teacher
Moira founded River Rock Yoga and Pilates in 2006. Sharing her love of yoga with students, and directing programs and workshops at the studio is her joy and her passion. She has been teaching yoga full-time since 2002 and she continues to teach several yoga and pilates classes each week.
In addition, Moira is co-director of the 200 hr Teacher Training Program at River Rock Yoga with Laura Tyree of Dragonfly Yoga, Fort Walton Beach, Fl., where she also teaches Advanced 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training Programs.
Moira is a Certified, Professional Level Kripalu Yoga Teacher & Teacher Trainer, registered with Yoga Alliance at the E-500 hour Level, as well as YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider). Read more about Moira’s extensive yoga training.
Moira is a licensed Master Social Worker/Therapist, with a Master’s Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and has been working in clinical mental health settings since 2010.
