Susannah Furr returns for her third visit to River Rock Yoga & Pilates Studio.
Join us for a soothing experience using the power of Sound to balance/align the chakras and clear/activate the body's energy field. This energetic system is closely related to our nervous system and enlivens many other body systems, such as the reproductive, digestive, circulatory, and respiratory systems. When this energetic system is aligned and clear, it results in a feeling of vibrant wellness!
Susannah is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 26 years' experience in traditional counseling, as well as in transpersonal modalities of Psychosynthesis, Mindfulness Based Interventions, Emotional Freedom Techniques. She is a Certified Heart-Centered Hynotherapist and Licensed Qualified HeartMath Instructor.

Ayurveda is considered to be the oldest healing science. In Sanskrit, Ayurveda means "The Science of Life". It places great emphasis on prevention and encourages the maintenance of health through close attention to balance in one's life.
Saturday, 9:00 am-11:30 am, "Deepen Your Yoga with Ayurveda"
During this session you learn to see the elements in your own life and the all that exists around you. You will learn how these elements correspond to your three doshas, what your primary dosha is, which dosha is out of balance for you and how to correct imbalances, you will experience physical alignment to yoga postures that will help create balance, all in an effort to continue on your path of physical, emotional, and spiritual growth.
Saturday, 1:00-4:00 pm, "Bringing Ayurveda into your Lifestyle and into your Yoga Practice"
In this session we will explore our daily habits and routines, including our yoga practice. We will learn to navigate our day with respect to our doshic balance by creating a lifestyle that restores us to harmony. We will look closely at our yoga and see that with ayurveda, yoga creates a synergy that amplifies our ability to create a healthier body as a vehicle to spiritual evolution. Each yoga pose possesses great potential to balance the five elements, harmonize energy and stabilize the mind. By connecting Ayurveda into our lifestyle and our yoga, we deepen our connection to ourselves by strengthening our balanced state.
Sunday, 9:00-12:00 pm, "Marmani – Mapping Energy Points on Your Body"
Ayurveda believes that each person is a dynamic collection of energy and intelligence within the larger field of energy and intelligence. Marmani are the points on the surface of the body that are concentrated areas of energy and intelligence. Thus, the marmani serves as a bridge, connecting the subtle body, the physical body and the greater field. During this session you will learn to find the marmani on your own body, on a partner’s body and through asana. This asana practice will deepen your knowledge of your self as the marma points will come alive to give you information on the current state of your being. Used as tools to asses and correct subtle imbalances in the body, we will tune ourselves to these subtleties and enhance our ability to participate in our own wellbeing.
